Sunday carvery unit was dirty and the food including the meat was overcooked. Asked for boxes to take food home to be told they have no boxes even for takeaways, but we saw boxes being given out. Disappointing visit. Won't be back.

The worst toby breakfast we ever add, we had to wait for eggs, then we had to wait for bacon, the chef was ignorant, he didn't seem to give a shit, we will not be returning as it was awful. However the bar staff ladies were lovely, and couldn't apologise enough.

Food has really improved! Lovely selection of breakfast, which was hot and edible, not dried out and hard like previously served

Decent food, just too busy for the amount of staff on,also too quick at putting the self service bar away so we couldn't get a second drink, even though we had paid for bottomless drinks.

We were staying in a hotel up the road and thought we’d chance it. It was incredibly busy but they still managed to squeeze us in. Mostly we were impressed with the staff and the fact they have a ramp for wheelchair access to the carvery. They organised it really quickly when theyvrealised I’d need access and not begridgingly like a lot of places. Genuinely made us feel welcome.

Nice place with very friendly and helpful staff, just a shame the beef was inedible. Paid for he king size to get a decent amount of meat but could only eat the turkey. Always the way though at a Toby. Best sticking with turkey and gammon, the beef is always hit and miss.

Difficult to find a table as most of the tables in the restaurant had not been cleared, finally found one. Asked for white bread and was told they had probably run out. Yorkshire puddings just plain with no bacon/onion as per other branches.

Nothing was great, the food was ok but small portions of meat and the foot was not very hot either. The tables were to close together and the whole place is quite in need of redecorating, I took my 75 year old mother for lunch but she didn’t like it much either. We will not be returning, we also thought the food was not worth £14.

Being a Sunday, it was very busy. The food was warm, but the variety of veg was a little lacking; no parsnips, sprouts, or brocoli. This is disappointing as these can be sourced in the UK and are in season. The portion of meat was small. The drink lavours were mixed up on the refill machine. The awaiting staff were excellent. Did I think my main course was worth 14.99 - not really

On arrival a male host/manager seemed like he would rather be anywhere but there. He looked even more miserable showing us to our table. Carvery was cold and the fudge cake tasted like melted plastic. But our server Melissa was a diamond she was very friendly and accommodating.
